KITE TALES

The sailing vessel KITE is embarking in 2013 on a cruise from Jacksonville, Florida to the Chesapeake Bay.  Her owners, Peter and Carolyn Denoncourt, have recently retired and have dreamed of taking this cruise for several years.  They will be living aboard KITE for the duration, which they anticipate to be three or four months.

KITE, shown at left under sail, is a Catalina 350, a 35-foot sloop that we have owned for 10 years. Before retiring, we have taken her on two-to-three week cruises to the Bahamas and nearby ports north of Jacksonville, for example, the remote barrier islands of Georgia and the ports of Beaufort and Charleston, S.C.
